● Cognis Corporation has expanded its plant in Kankakee, IL and closed its Hoboken, NJ site. This decision will allow Cognis to expand its Midwest ISO certified manufacturing facility, according to the company. The Hoboken manufacturing site operates in a residential location, which precluded Cognis from making largescale investments. The transition is planned for completion in the third quarter of 2003. The Hoboken plant, in operation since 1922, currently employs 62 people
